Piranha Post: 1/4/26

Thank you for another great week! Our last team meet was a success! The swimmers competed hard, supported one another, and represented PVAC with pride. We’re heading into the final stretch of the season, and there’s a lot to be excited about as we prepare for championship meets at the end of the month. Please reach out if you have any questions about champs.

Eligibility:

"B" Divisional Championship January 24th: 

Have competed in at least two dual meets during the season

Not qualified for “A” champs

Relay teams will be assembled based on swimmer availability

Event selection is done the same as invitationals (Please be sure to indicate which events when committing)

Locations: Girls at Souderton, Boys at Pennridge

"A" League Championship January 25th: 

Have competed in at least two dual meets during the season.

Be ranked in the top 18 times for an event. (The top 50 times can be found on the SAL webpage)

Coaches will select 5 swimmers per age group for relay events (4 swimmers and 1 alternate). Relay team members do not need to qualify for individual events to be eligible. (Please indicate your availability)

Coaches will notify swimmers who qualify and are selected for the "A" Championship

Event Limitations: 

Swimmers are limited to 3 individual and 2 relay events across both championship meets combined. This rule means swimmers ranked outside the top 18 for individual events may still be selected to compete at "A" Championship meet

Practice

Practice will return to the usual schedule starting this week and will remain in place through the end of the month. Please continue to arrive on time and ready to train as we finish the season strong.

Saturday, January 10: UMAC Last Chance Invitational (Times below are tentative. Details to be confirmed)

Location: Upper Merion High School (435 Crossfield Road, King of Prussia PA 19406)

Session 1 (10 and under Boys and Girls)

Warm-Up: 7:20 AM

Meet Start: 8:30 AM

Session 2 (11 and up Boys and Girls)

Warm-Up: 12:00 PM

Meet Start: 1:15 PM
