I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday with friends and family. As winter break wraps up, the swim season kicks into high gear with championship meets.

Below is eligibility information for the upcoming championship meets at the end of January, which will help explain the differences between these meets. It can be confusing, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

Eligibility:

"B" Divisional Championship January 24th: 

Have competed in at least two dual meets during the season

Not have qualified for “A” champs

Relay teams will be assembled based on swimmer availability

Event selection is done the same as invitationals

 

"A" League Championship January 25th: 

Have competed in at least two dual meets during the season

Be ranked in the top 18 times for an event. (The top 50 times can be found on the SAL webpage)

Coaches will select 5 swimmers per age group for relay events (4 swimmers and 1 alternate). Relay team members do not need to qualify for individual events to be eligible

Coaches will notify swimmers who qualify and are selected for the "A" Championship

 

Event Limitations: 

Swimmers are limited to 3 individual and 2 relay events across both championship meets combined. This rule means swimmers ranked outside the top 18 for individual events may still be selected to compete at "A" Championship meet

Practice

The holiday practice schedule remains in effect. We will return to our regular schedule next week.

Dive Meet Friday, January 2 vs. WCAC

Location: Wissahickon High School

Arrival: 6:00 PM

Warm-Up: 6:15 PM

Meet Start Time: 6:45 PM

Saturday, January 3 

PVAC Girls and Boys vs. Centennial (CAC)

Location: HOME

Arrival: 10:30 AM

Warm-Up: 10:45 AM

Meet Start Time: 11:30 AM

 

Registration Deadline: Wednesday night

Sunday, January 4: Souderton Winterfest Invitational (Times below are tentative. Details to be confirmed)

Location: Souderton High School (625 Lower Road, Souderton, PA 18965)

Session 1 (10 and under Boys and Girls)

Warm-Up: 8:00 AM

Meet Start: 9:00 AM

Session 2 (11 and up Boys and Girls)

Warm-Up: 1:00 PM

Meet Start: 2:00 PM
