Our
History:
Skippack
swim team is in its 3rd decade. Last year we
were second in the Tri-County League and will
again strive for the Championship.
Our
Philosophy:
The
officers and coaches of Skippack
Swim Team believe in teaching the
fundamentals of competitive
Swimming, with an emphasis on proper
technique 1st, and speed training
2nd. We attempt to provide a fun and
educational atmosphere that focuses
on sportsmanship and hard work,
which are important aspects of
competitive swimming.
Our
Coaches:
Returning as head coach is
Mike Hones. Kate
Marino will be with us for
her 4th year as an assistant coach.
Brian Zeigler will
also be returning for his 3rd year
as one of our assistant coaches.
Minimum Requirements
In the name of safety, we require that all children be
“water safe”. This means that each child will be able to
easily swim the length of the pool, unassisted. The
coaches can work on technique. Children not meeting the
minimum requirements should consider swimming lessons.

Summer Schedule
(upon closing of
schools):
o
Morning practice: Mon-Fri
> 8 & Under, 10 & Under: 9-10am daily
> 11 & Over: 10-11:15am daily
o
Evening practices: Mon & Wed
> 8 & Under, 10 & Under: 6:30pm - 7:15pm
> 11 & Over: 7:15pm - 8pm
o Sat 7/11 - Movie Night at the
pool -- We will open our snack bar again for
dinner at the pool (our 2nd fundraiser night)
o Fri 7/17 - Alternate fundraiser
night.
o Fri 7/24 - Tentative date for
end of season banquet. We are looking for
a volunteer to organize the banquet.
