I.   III. New business

a)      Meet Updates -

§   Mock Meet / Time Trials were a great success.

§   Saturday, November 11th PVAC will hold a dual meet (boys and girls swim together) against CBSW.  Swimmers should show up at 11:45 AM. Warmups at 12:00 PM and Meet will start at 12:30 PM. No sports bag will be allowed in the pool area due to space constraints.

§   Invitationals - Turkey Trot and Harvest meet information has been submitted.  Holiday Classic sign up will be accepted until November 10^th.  Odd Age sign ups will be accepted until December 8^th.

b)      Spirit Wear Delivery Update – Ordered items will come in the week of Thanksgiving.

c)      Community Service Project – PVAC is running two projects.  Can goods and non-perishable for a local charity for Thanksgiving and the second project is to supply items for the two local soldiers stationed overseas.  Janet Dix is running these two projects. Project will end on November 15th

d)      Banquet – Banquet will be held on Friday, March 2, 2007 at the High school.  The team will be able to swim after the food and fun.  We are trying to get a guest speaker.  We need more Volunteers to help run this event.  All swimmers will get a team gift and PVAC will be giving out graduation gifts to seniors that meet the criteria.

e)      Team Communication –We now have 149 families signed up for the E-mail list.  The bulletin Board is now up and thanks to Liz it is also decorated.

f)        Fundraising –

·  Family Fun Night is still tentative until we hear from the school on a date that works for them.

·  Beef and Beer- Scheduled for Saturday, April 14, 2007 – Janel Angst and Mike Risell will be coordinating this event.

·  Golf Outing – Schedule for the fall of 2007.

·  Family Eat Out Night at Chick-Fil-A in Royersford.  Still finalizing the details.

g)      Officer Reports

President- Mike still wants PVAC members to volunteer for upcoming events and at meets especially this weekend.  PVAC team members received a 10% discount at Schuykill Valley Sports.

Vice President- Liz has booked a block of room for the USA Penn State meet just in case we get into the meet.

Treasurer- Lisa will be getting ready to return the fundraiser checks next week.  Everyone will need to sign a form to verify that you received your returned check. 

Secretary- All the bathing suits are now in and almost all have been distributed.  If anyone is looking to get any swim suits from D & J Sports, members of PVAC can get a discount.  When calling the store (610-282-5895), just tell them you are a PVAV member and you will get the team rate.  For suits, the team rate is the price given when you order 12 or more.

USA Swimming – In the Banana Boat meet PVAC placed third over all.  Great job USA Swimmers. We are hoping to enter the Penn State meet in February.

Head Coaches – Coaches are happy with practices.  The team is doing  more yardage this year.  The coaches will be working on butterfly and breaststroke in the next few weeks.

       USA Swimming needs to select a new meet for December.
       Still need Boy and Girls concession volunteer and some fundraiser volunteers

IV. Meeting Schedule
       Next meeting schedule for Tuesday, December 14th at 7:00 pm at PV high school.

V. Adjournment
